How Can I Look Up Someone’s Cell Phone Number - 3 Reverse Lookup Tips

As convenient as mobile phones have made everyone’s daily life there is one inconvenience associated with the use of these modern day wonders. There are times when you need to call someone and you find yourself asking, “How can I find someone’s cell phone number?” They could be someone you met earlier in the day, a new business contact you don’t have a phone number for, or any number of other reasons for wanting to contact them but you can’t just look them up with your local phone book. And there in lies the problem. There is no freely available “Yellow” or “White Pages” for cellular phone, either in book form or online. Cell phone numbers for all intents and purposes are unlisted. This doesn’t mean you can’t find the number you are looking for because there are 3 good options for doing just that.

1. Use an internet search engine - Google, Yahoo, and MSN all do a good job of indexing every piece of information that exists in the public domain on the internet. If a certain piece of information, including names and phone numbers, exists on a website that is freely available it can be found. The most likely places mobile phone information would be found are online classified ads, social networking sites, and message boards. Simply type in the name of the person you are looking for along with a general location like a city or town and see what your search returns. You might get lucky.

2. Check one of the free cellular directories - These free directories have begun to show up in recent years but there is a catch to their use. All the information in their name and number database has been put there voluntarily by their members. In order to join and use one of these sites you will have to give up your own name and number before you will be granted access. So while these directories have quite a few names and numbers they are far from complete, making a successful search largely hit and miss.

3. Join a National Cellular Phone Registry website - This is your best option when it comes to looking up someone’s cell phone number. It will cost you a nominal fee in the $20-$40 range but these sites will give you access to hundreds of millions of cellular records which gives you a high probability of finding the number you are looking for.

So the next time you find yourself wondering “How can I look up someone’s cell phone number” here are three tips that will help find who you are looking for.

Reverse Phone Lookups - How To Find People By Phone Number

You are in the middle of an important business meeting and someone calls your cell phone. All of a sudden you are sent into a whirlwind of constant calling by someone that is calling and hanging up every time you answer the phone. In a moment of heated anger, you get on the internet and get onto a reverse phone search service that shows no results. Why? The service is a free service and only includes information on published land line phone numbers only. No cell phones. No private numbers.

You dig a little further and realize that there are many different services that offer the information you are looking for, but they charge you a fee to retrieve the information. In your heated anger, you sign up with the first service you can find and pay whatever is next to the dollar sign to stop the incessant ringing on your personal phone and to regain your privacy. You enter the information and the search comes back with no results. You just lost your money, your time and came up with no new information than you had before.

In order to avoid such a problematic headache, it is best to do some research on the services that are available that offer a reverse cell phone search. Whenever you are looking to find the right service provider to do your search, you are entering into a world of roughly four different kinds of service providers. Each provider has their pros and cons but you must find the provider that will give you the information that you are specifically looking for and willing to retrieve.

For instance, there exist the free services as previously stated. These are good if you are not necessarily worried about getting the results you are trying to find or if you do not want to put the money forth to gain the information in a reverse cell phone search. At best, you may be able to find the city and state of the phone number, which may help to narrow things down. Unfortunately, the free services are very limited and you will want to find additional services for your searching needs.

There are three types of service providers that charge a fee for you to access their very large database of millions of phone numbers and owners. There are cheap services that offer you cheap results, expensive services that offer you no results and take your cash, and there are the moderate services that charge a reasonable amount and always deliver. The biggest mistake you risk entering is to pay for a reverse cell phone search that does not have a guarantee. This means that if your search has no results, you lose your money, lose your time, and end up even more furious than before.

Run a web search to find ratings on the various services you are looking at using. Do your homework and the final result will be worth it!
