Free Cell Phone Number Lookup Scams

Is it possible to find someone’s cell phone number for FREE? Can you do free  reverse people search with a cell phone number ? Ar there any  free reverse cell phone search sites on the Internet? The answer is Yes, there are serveral free sites are avaliable today.

Cell phone number search includes (a) search somoneone’s cell phone number by his name or address, or  cell phone people search; (b) search someone’s name or address by cell phone number, or reverse cell phone search.

Three freebie websites on cell phone reverse search  on Internet:.

(1) Call Sprint - If you find a Sprint cell phone, dial this toll free number 1-800-444-3333 from the Sprint cell phone, it will tell you exactly the owner’s name and address of that cell phone.   Or if  you got a call from someone who’s provider is Sprint,  dial 1-877-785-8414, Sprint would read back to you the full name and street address of the cell phone number owner . ( Unfortunately, Sprint has just disabled this phone number recently, ouch).

(2) If you have a cell phone, register your name,  your cell phone number, and home address at a website called National Cellular Directory , in return, you can make a free reverse lookup on cell phone numbers of others. This website was launched only a few weeks ago in February 2008, it might have a few hundred people registered with them, it doesn’t have any guarantee on results. I don’t want to expose my cell phone number in public, I have no idea about its accuracy. However,  I would highly recommend to avoid this website for obvious privacy reasons. Besides, it has hundreds of paid cell phone look ads .

(3) The 3rd choice is MobilePhoneNo.com . They do allow you to find a person’s cell phone number. The website doesn’t offer reverse cell phone number lookup though. From what I tested, the  cell phone number lookup is just a joke at the website. Their database might have a few hundreds of  cell phone numbers. If you search for  John Smith, the result only returned ONE and the phone number is in UK, WOW!  If you didn’t find the result, they want to redirect your search ot ads to some PAID websites. Nice baits! 

The Freebies in  cell phone number search are limited, these websites are full of catches and ads. Really offer nothing useful in reverse cell phone lookup.

Self-claimed Free websites such as “freecellphonelookups”.com, it has a pretty domain name, but it doesn’t offer any free cell phone search, the website is connected to an unrated paid website. Some other websites or ads use free cell phone search or free cell phone lookup as a teaser, but they don’t have “free results” for people search through cell phone.

So are there any other free cell phone directories actually exist out there on the Internet? Is there a free cell phone directory for T-Mobile? Verizon Wireless? Cingular/AT&T? Suncom? Sprint/Nextel?

Unfortunately, based on my extensive research, the answer to this question is NO. There is no free cell phone number search on all of them.
